Good Bye Election 2001.

It was after announcement by the Eritrean government, about election in Eritrea, to be held, in the month December and year 2001, I started to write articles by the heading “Focus on election 2001”, at asmarino.com. I tried to write articles without ample information or for that matter with lack of basic information by the concerned part about the election in Eritrea. I was simply proceeding to write, thanks to the encouragement I was receiving from an interest personality to my articles. Besides that, asmrino.com lifted up my sprit and moral to continue my writings by providing a special privilege in the highly respected front page of asmarino.com. For that, I acknowledge my grateful to thank asmarino.com.

Now, by saying good bye to election 2001, I look forward to hear from the Eritrean government a new date for the coming election. My best friend here in Oslo, Norway says that there is hope for the ratification of the draft election law and draft for forming political parties, eventually announcement of new date for election, based on the information given, by the foreign minister of Eritrea, in the occasion of opening an ambassador of Eritrea in Denmark. My friend said “Kimbel bele imber iyteqawen”. But he strongly denounced the silence of the government for not letting a spokesperson of the government to let it be known or inform the people about the postponing of the election.

I acknowledge that, on my side, it is acceptable to postpone election 2001 and there is no need to harass the government by holding demonstrations or demonizing personalities of the government. We have enough time and we have to be patient to follow the guidance of the government. On this occasion, I ask the Eritrean government to show good gesture to let for those personalities, who are detained by their difference in opinion with the government to join the Christmas and new year with their families.

On this occasion, I wish to all of you, happy Christmas and happy new year. I congratulate President Isaias Afewerki of becoming person of the year in asmrino.com. And on this occasion I would like to quote from his past words.

“ It is Africa that must seize its own destiny. Its people and leaders must tap deep into their human and material resources and come up with the wisdom, strategy and commitment to lift up Africa from the mire” Isaias Afewerki President of Eritrea. End of quote.

There is hope for democratization in Eritrea and I am confident that “Year 2002” is going to be our best year for bright future in Eritrea. And I say the wisdom is by inclusion and not by exclusion.

Finally, I would like to ask forgiveness for my mistakes and some times for my stupidity to mention names without asking permissions. Especially, I feel guilty to harm the families of Blatengeta Efrem Tewldemedhen by writing simply unfounded story by combining what I heard and read in books. My deliberation for year 2002 is to serve my people honestly as much as possible I can.

God bless Eritrea
